✨ Two ✨ With these in a stocking, Christmas smells are going to be wafting round the house from the moment Santa fills the stockings! Yum!! Our bathroom goodies include Cinnamon Toothpaste; Orange Shampoo for dry hair; Chocolate Shampoo for normal hair, and also Cinnamon, Orange & Anise Shampoo for normal hair, which is basically Mulled Wine right? And who doesn't love the smell of Mulled Wine at Christmas? |
✨ Three ✨ Heading out for a Boxing Day walk? Travelling to the in-laws for 'Second Christmas'? Or jetting off to find some Winter sun? Wrap up your post-Christmas-dinner Turkey Sandwiches with our reusable sandwich wraps - available in mint, blue, pink/violet and grey. |
✨ Four ✨ Christmas is all about (over) indulgence, isn't it? Especially in terms of sweets, chocolates and puddings... So make sure you look after your and your loved ones' teeth - and the environment, by including a bamboo toothbrush in every stocking too. |
✨ Five ✨ Go on the hunt for 'as-eco-as-possible' Stocking Fillers. Here I've gone for
|
✨ Six ✨ Up-cycle some old clothes and make your own Christmas decorations. After many years of use, some of our Christmas decorations have seen better days and started to fall apart, but I couldn't bear to buy any more plastic... So I was inspired by a lovely Liberty print cotton Christmas trees bunting my mum gave me a few years ago and decided we could make our own! (Out of hubby's old shirts and some ribbon.) True, they are not as 'finished' as the Liberty one, but.... I'm pretty pleased. (I'll add another photo once we've put them up.)

✨ Seven ✨ Use paper tape. A really simple way to make your Christmas a little more eco is just to switch from normal sticking tape to paper tape - which I ordered off the internet very easily. Paper tape isn't compostable, but it is recyclable. So if you use that as well as recyclable paper wrapping paper (please check - not all wrapping paper is recyclable), that's one less thing in landfill. If you want to go a step further, there is compostable tape. It's a bit more tricky to use as you have to wet the gum to stick it down. But it is out there if you want to use it. |
So, I hope those ideas give you a little bit of eco-inspiration for your Christmas. I'd love to hear how you're making your Christmas as-eco-as-possible, so please comment below :-)
